Hugh Barrington joined Asteri Asset Management in March 2023 as the Manager of Philanthropy & Social Capital and is based in the Asteri Sydney office. Hugh brings with him a wealth of experience from the philanthropy and fundraising sectors.
Hugh has been involved in various roles within the philanthropy, for-purpose and fundraising sectors for over 17 years. Before joining Asteri Asset Management, Hugh spent almost six years at Equity Trustees in Melbourne as the National Manager of Active Philanthropy. Hugh led the team responsible for providing strategic philanthropic advice and operational direction to high-net-worth families. Prior to his time at Equity Trustees, Hugh was working for a global children’s charity in a fundraising capacity and has sat on several Boards in a Non-Executive Director Capacity.
Hugh obtained his MBA in 2020, holds a Diploma of Marketing and has a Certificate in Applied Responsible Investment.
