High-net-worth advice firm Asteri Asset Management has poached three advisers from rival JBWere, who together spoke for nearly $1 billion in client assets.
Street Talk understands Spencer Thornton, Elizabeth Waverley and Bridget Lawler have tendered their resignations at the NAB-owned wealth management group and are due to resurface in Asteri Asset Management’s Melbourne office in July.
Thornton and Waverley were directors at JBWere, while Lawler was a wealth adviser and strategic financial planner. The trio, along with Nadia Alvarez and Joanne Yao, advised on more than $1 billion in client assets equating circa $5 million in revenue.
“We are thrilled that this high quality team has decided to join Asteri. The team have been drawn to Asteri’s independent and contemporary wealth management offering to successful Australians and for purpose organisations,” Asteri Asset Management managing partner Jonathan Harper said when contacted by Street Talk.
The hires take Asteri, which was co-founded by ex MLC chief Warwick Traynor, to over 50 Partners, overseeing $13 billion in funds under advice.
