Asteri Asset Management Poaches Bank of Melbourne Operative

Boutique advisory firm Asteri Asset Management has made another high-profile hire.

Street Talk can reveal Asteri, chaired by former MLC boss Warwick Traynor, has lured across Bank of Melbourne’s head of premium banking and business growth Jonathan Harper.

It is understood Harper resigned on Monday and will join Asteri as managing partner of Victoria.

Harper spent six years at Bank of Melbourne and also had a stint at NAB Private as a senior investment specialist and regional leader.

The appointment caps a busy year for Asteri Asset Management, which was rated No.15 on The Australian Financial Review’s 2017 Fast Starters list.

All companies listed started trading after July 1 2013 and had to be Australian-owned to be considered. Fast Starters are ranked by revenue for the most recent year with their growth over the current and previous year noted.
